Hi, these are sloppy and I rushed them real bad, but everyone loves them. Sorry for the tipwear! I'm gonna try and step my nail game up now that I might have some more free time coming up. GOBBLE GOBBLE.

Day 17: Glitter
Well, now that I'm back at it, I'm going to post all of the challenge nails I've done in my absence. With these nails, I was trying to get jobs soooo I had to act like I wasn't flaky and unprofessional (some super rude lady actually said that to me. Jerks)

Really super super super late halloween nails.
Sorry guys! I've been kind of keeping up with painting my nails, but I've also been on a crazy hunt for a job after graduation and I started roller derby about two months ago. Which is a huge time and money commitment but its absolutely worth it. So in case you were wondering, thats why I've been absent.
I did some Halloween nails (naturally) and here they are!

Day 16 - Tribal Print
HEY GUYS I'M BACK! I'M ALIVE! Europe was awesome and I can't wait to go back. However, I couldn't wait to get back so I could paint the crap out of my nails. Considering polish is apparently a luxury over there and all I could find was L'Oreal and Maybelline and I didn't really feel like paying double the price for something I could get in America. I was so disappointed because all I wanted was some European only polishes. Oh and p.s, black spotted does not exist in France, and if it does it is absolutely impossible to find. OK HERE ARE MY NAILS!
I'm actually pretty impressed with how well I did the details,
the lines are pretty straight and stuff. Thanks challenge for
pushing my limits and making me better!

Fun lil explanation post and a real skip ahead to day 28!
So I'm going to be MIA for a while because DRUMROLL PLEASE..... IM GOING TO EUROPE. So for the next month basically I will be over seas and will not be spending my time there doing my nails (unfortunately)(well, kinda). So, naturally I spent a good chunk of time here doing some unnecessary nail art with the flag of each country I will be visiting. And I know, I know, obviously Australia isn't a European country, "So why is it on your nails?" you ask? Well, we're only going to 7 countries and I have 8 fingers and two thumbs, and leaving one finger out would just be silly. So, I lived in Australia for a while in high school so it was only fitting to include it in this mani. Well, I'm tired and done rambling so have a good August!

I guess this could be Day 15, Take 2?
HI! I just realized that my last post was the half way mark through this challenge I really suck at doing in a timely manner. But whatever. So I guess these nails could double as a delicate print or something, they were just something I really felt like doing (which really never happens since I never really get inspired), so I really couldn't pass up the opportunity. My best friend said they look like Frankenstein stitches and I don't know if I can argue. And then my mom told me they were the best ones I've ever done. MAKE UP YOUR MIND PEOPLE. Anyway, I started with a base of OPI My Vampire is Buff and used both of the colors in this months Julep Maven box. The pink is pretty terrible but it is alright in this context. The green is awesome because I have a really soft spot in my heart for mossy greens. Then I did the veins in the leaves with China Glaze Agro. Now here are my weird vine/frankenstein stitches nails.

Day 15 - Delicate print
HEY GUYS! I'M ALIVE! I've been busy with life and stuff and haven't been putting as much effort into my nails as I would have liked. Anyway, I was really struggling with what to do for this prompt, and then it was brought to my attention that I could use word association. Delicate = fragile = STAINED GLASS. WOOO.

Day 14 - Flowers
Well, sometimes being picky isn't too bad. I did some flower nail art the other day and wore it for one day and absolutely despised it. I literally could barely look at my hands and couldn't wait to get them off. So i re-tried. Good thing, because I wound up with the first nail art I've done in months that I actually really like. I spent 3 hours the other night watching one stroke tutorials and practicing on paper. Although I definitely haven't mastered the technique I think I'm starting to get the hang of it.
So, here is my failed attempt.
And here are my one stroke. I was too excited about them to clean them up to take original pictures and then when I went back outside post clean-up for more pictures it had started storming and was really dark out and I couldn't wait any longer to post them. Even though they're not perfect this is personal progress and I'm beyond stoked on it.

A few days late.. But 4th of July mani!
I was really unsure what to do for this, but I knew I had to do something. I remembered seeing these that Sarah from Chalkboard Nails did and I couldn't stop thinking about them. So here is my version!

Day 13 - Animal Print
WOOOO!!! I'm almost half way through this! WOOOOO AGAIN! I feel like a slacker because it's taking me so long but really... I'm half way through. Well. Anyway, originally I was completely against doing leopard print because I think it's so overdone and corny and just all around awful and not my style. Until, my friend suggested I do Lisa Frank nails. Even then the plan was to do unicorns and all sorts of other awesome Lisa Frank animals but lost motivation half way through so I settled with all leopard print. Sigh. (I also tried to do cat nails and they turned out miserable). So I started with a gradient on a few fingers and then used the colors in the gradient to do the spots on the other fingers!

On a whim mani that lasted one day.
So I hung with another one of my polish obsessed friends the other night and this is what I wound up with. I tried to use Essie's magnetic polish and it was awful and absolutely miserable so I put this stripe on them. They chipped later that day so I did the animal print mani for the next day of the challenge that I'll post tomorrow!

Day 12 - Stripes
Hey! I'm back! So my wedding mani was... a joke. To say the least. However, I did find the perfect peach color to go with the wedding colors so that was cool, except it chipped not even two hours later and I didn't have enough time to redo it. Good thing it wasn't my wedding and no one wanted to take a million pictures of my hands! Anyway, so for stripes I decided to take a different route. I was torn between either plaid and gingham, and you can see which way I went. I planned to do this with Orly Boho Bonnet but it is so incredibly sheer I would have had to do 100 coats. So, I started with a base of OPI My Vampire is Buff and hand painted on the stripes using China Glaze Ruby Pumps.
Then I looked at them and could only think of picnic tables so I painted ants on a few nails!

HEY! SORRY!
This is me explaining my absence. One of my best friends is getting married this weekend and my nails have really just fallen by the wayside with everything else going on. Obviously, they're still painted, but nothing post worthy. I'll probably post my wedding mani Friday!
On another note, I bought Honey Ryder out of the Bond Girls collection when it first came out and this is my first time wearing it. Also, my first time wearing a liquid sand polish, and I'm pretty positive I hate it. Anyone up for a trade?
OH! And in the mean time of my absence, check out my bestie's blog HERE!

Day 11 - Polka Dots
Well, if any of you haven't noticed yet... I'm not very girly. And I have to be in the mood for plan polka dots, and I couldn't think of anything clever other than the infamous mermaid nails that I first saw on Little Nails probably last year. I still don't know how she makes her dots so big because I've tried so many things and it never works and they always end up looking muddy. Anyway, I decided to go with mermaid nails for today! These ended up looking like skittles and I loved wearing them!

Day 10 - Gradient
HEY GUYS! My life has been relatively boring and normal and have really just been going to school and working, so I don't have anything awesome to report there! So I still don't think I have the complete hang of gradients, and it might have something to do with the fact that I'm not a super crazy fan of them and they kinda bore me. Oh and for some reason putting down a white base coat is so tedious to me so I stay away from them. However, I did decide (obviously) to do one for this challenge day, and like I said before, I'm not great with colors and me attempting to combine them is just a joke usually. So I asked a friend what colors I should use and his response was "do yellow and green, they look cool on gummy worms". However, they do not look so awesome on nails. So I wore this plain gradient for a day. Then couldn't handle it anymore and I painted this weird pattern over it.

Day 9 - Rainbow
I'm back! Sorry for the little hiatus there, life has been a little weird and crazy but here I am! My main problem with nail art is... I'm not creative. (who knew!) So getting inspired and having idea for these challenge days are a little well.. challenging. So for today I just went with straight across rainbow stripes. Although these aren't super special and something you've never seen before, I think I did a pretty alright job in execution.
First two photos are in direct natural light and last is in the shade.
